Missing One Pill

Hey all -
I have a question. I am on the pill. I usually take one each morning. I forgot to take one on Saturday, October 7. I made up for it and took two the next day (but not until the afternoon.) I am worried because I ended up having sex on October 7, without any other form of birth control. It says that you don't need to use any follow-up form of birth control if you only miss one day, but I am worrying since I usually take it every morning and I didn't take the two pills until the next afternoon, therefore missing about a day and a half. (and, conveniently, this was right around the time of ovulation.)
Now, it is time for my period. I am not really late yet, as it usually takes until about Tuesday for my period to start. I have cramping, but I also have insanely sore boobs. (They usually get sore about a week before my period and then stop), and I have a bad headache and the tip of my tongue is tingling and it looks like I have a small rash (little red dots on the end of my tongue where it tingles.) I've been known to worry before and could be making these "symptoms" seem worse than they are, but still, I am kinda freaking out, and was wondering if anyone knew what the chances are of getting pregnant if you only miss one pill.
Thanks.

when i first got pregnant..i missed a pill..and we were also using the pull out method..um needless to say..7 weeks later i was having alot of nausea, sore boobs, and some cramping. It might not be the same for you though and your symptoms could be exagerated by your worry..trust me i was there last week..which then brings me to another topic...but anyways...i wish you good luck with this...and let us know how it turns out for ya!
love, eliana :)
however, i can clarify one thing you said which might make you feel better...
when you're on the pill, there isn't really a time that is "right around ovulation" because when you're on the pill you don't ovulate, at least you're not supposed to. so it doesn't happen right around the middle of your cycle like it would if you were not on the pill. it is supposed to take over 7 days of missing your pill to trigger ovulation, so probably you're ok. however, the pill doesn't work perfectly even when you take it perfectly so there's still a chance.
if i were you i'd try to wait until you were actually late and then test that morning, first thing. (or actually, i'd probably just start testing like crazy and drive myself insane, ha!, but i wouldn't reccommend it to anyone else...)
anyway, hope you get the result you want when you test!
