Moodiness a sign?

Hello everyone -- I was recently married and am TTC my first at 40, had a miscarriage at 7 weeks just before Thanksgiving this past year. It's a long shot (I think) to be pregnant this month, but it IS possible. AF is due 1/26 approximately (my cycles are a little flexible). I just started temping so I can't use that info yet.
Here's the thing -- I have the worst PMS-type moodiness ever. Is this a common early pregnancy sign? I know that when I found I was pregnant in October, I had thought I was having the worst PMS of my life because of the crankiness. I am also having other possible PG symptoms, but don't want to get my hopes up.
I plan to test as soon as possible -- on the 25th most likely (LOL). I am just looking for confirmation that others have had terrible moodiness as an early sign?? thanks, Jaya.

I think it depends on the woman and how well a she knows herself. I have a friend who could tell she was pregnant by her crankiness. She's normally not a cranky person but the times she was pregnant she would be very snappy with certain people. She'd realize how out of character it was for her afterwards and surmise on her own that she was pg. It happened 3 times and she has the babies to prove it! :)
But it's also normal for a woman to get moody right around the time AF is due. I think this is one of those signs or symptoms that vary with each woman. Just my 2cents. :)
Thanks for your 2 cents! I'm still not sure what's going on. I feel the same "fogginess" in my head that I did last time I was pregnant, and my back has been hurting (not like last time)... bbs not sore at all though, so I'm starting to think it's not pregnancy, but maybe just PMS. Time will out, as they say. I think I may POAS tomorrow, tho, just to save my DH all the grief of trying to understand my moodiness! If it's pregnancy, we'll both breathe a sigh of relief and happiness.... if it's not, well, we'll try again... thanks for your counsel.
