Hi Everyone!
I need to bounce somethings off of you girls. Ok so my last period was on July 9..I am planning a wedding and found that with that cycle I would end up having my period during my wedding and honeymoon. My doctor gave me some estrogen pills to take for a week starting July 19...I was supposed to get my period within two weeks of taking them. (this would make my cycle around a week early) Well, I have yet to get my period!? Two days ago I took a preg test and it was negitive. The thing is though is that I really feel like it was wrong. I want it to be negative so that I can get married with out being knocked up lol but if I am I really want to know so that I can make sure I am not harming the baby. What really worries me is that I took those pills and that I also had my bach party a few weeks ago where of course I drank a bit much. I have symptoms too...my breasts are SO sore! I never have this with normal periods. It hurts when I go down the stairs even. I am sooo emotional (always am a little before periods but never to this extent...but it could also be due to increased stress) Two days ago I woke up and was very nauseous until around 3 pm but none since. Also, I have been craving chocolate like crazy! (never really crave it that bad other times ... like a candy bar will suffice but NOT NOW lol) I have had slight cramping for the last week or so nothing major. Lastly I am so stinking tired. But that could be due to all the stress as well. So, what do you all think? I may take another preg test tomorrow morning again. If you were all me what would you think was happening?
Thanks a bunch!

I don't know--I just got married in March, and due to the stress, my cycle was off and I had a lot of other side effects that could have looked like pregnancy. However, in my case I knew it couldn't be, since DH had just gotten a VR and there had been no BDing since the VR. But, anything is possible. I have become a fan of testing to check... I don't know that this helps in any way, but I wanted to let you know that someone is reading and caring what you're going through.

Thank you for your reply. I am hoping that it is just stress. I am definitely ready to have children but I want it to be a happy celebration not a time of people talking about how I got pregnant before I was married and all that stupid gossip. I am going to recheck again.....but I have this bad feeling about it. haha

Any one else have any input? Any more would be very welcome! :)
Thanks you!

I also think it's stress... planning a wedding is not a piece of cake.

I looked up some info for you on estrogen.

Possible Side Effects:

The most common side effects include enlargement or tenderness of the breasts (both sexes), swelling of the ankles and legs, loss of appetite, weight changes, retention of water, nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, and feeling of bloatedness.

It's quite possible that everything you're experiencing is due to the stress of the wedding and side effects of the estrogen. I'd be questioning the dr. Good luck.

hmm, this is a bit of a tricky situation. Did your doctor give you a round of 3 wks worth of estrogen pills? I know that with my own body, especially with estrogen, it mimicks the signs of pregnancy and I hate it cause then I get all excited for nothing! I also know that if I do not take the full 3 wks of estrogen pills (my doctor had me on high dose estrogen birth control) then I do not get my period on time, it is usually 3 wks late. I have read a lot of remarks from other women on forums and such that the estrogen makes their boobs hurt (mine hurt so bad my hubby couldn't even hug me), makes them nauseous, and incredibly emotional (all symptoms I,as well, experience on it). So, I hope this helps! and good luck with your wedding planning!! and have fun on your honeymoon and try not to stress too much! Again, Good Luck! :>
