Normal to be late after stopping BCP?

For the last three months, up until the end of August I was on Ortho LO, but due to insurance complications I took this month off.
Since this past Monday I have been feeling ultra tired and VERY nauseus. I wrote it off as being overworked, and my mom (knowing when my last period was) reminded me I was probably feeling ill due to my period coming up.
Well, my period hasn't come, and I just realized the date yesterday. I'm 36 days from my last period! DUH! Now I'm scared I'm pregnant!
My husband and I haven't had unprotected sex since I stopped the pill, but it seems like pregnancy is within the realm of possibilites. Is it normal to have a really late period after stopping the pill after such a short time?
YIKES! I'm getting nervous! Any advice/suggestions would be great.

Both times I stopped taking BCP I was later than normal (ie had longer cycles) but not that long. I would go see the dr or test to be sure. If you haven't had unprotected sex it would be unlikely but anything is possible!
