i've been off the pill for about three weeks now, and i really don't think i'm pregnant, but all that has changed is that the nausea has gone away almost completely and the headaches are less often. the weird cramping has almost gotten worse - i woke up one morning and had it almost feel like my ab muscles were going to pull themselves apart. what few menstrual cramps i normally get just make me want to double over because it's like everything is compacting on itself (haven't had these since 2nd month on pill - was on it almost a year)...these don't hurt nearly as bad (except for that one morning) and they feel more like when i stretch a muscle that doesn't want to stretch. i'm concerned that something more serious might be going on that the np missed...but i have no idea what to think it might be to give him an idea. i don't have insurance, so i don't want to keep running back to the doctor, and i'd have to wait probably a month or more to see my actual doctor unless it was more of an emergency. my last AF was 10/15...last one i considered normal was 8/20. please help!

Your body is probably going through a lot of hormonal changes since being off the pill. I stopped taking my pill at the end of August, and my first period off the pill was RIDICULOUSLY painful. I swear that I had the closest feeling to giving birth that I have ever had. I wouldn't be concerned if I were you. Wait and see how your next periods are, and in which case, if it is still bothering you, then call your doctor. I actually have had a second period since then and it was the same thing, although my period was 2 weeks late. I had to call into work cuz my cramps were so bad. Thank God I have a female for a boss!!!!
Well good luck to ya either way....
P.S. Something that works wonders for bad cramps is called Naproxin. Its an anti-inflammatory. Works SOOO good. Maybe your dr could prescribe it for ya.
