Not sure what is going on, any ideas?

Ok, so here are the basics of my situation. My DH (to be) and I decided three months ago to TTC so I stopped my BCP. So technically, I guess this is our third cycle of trying. The first month off BCP my cycle was 31 days, the second was 37 days. I am now on CD 34 and had one BFN test on Christmas morning which I am fairly positive was 12 DPO. I can always tell when I ovulate, and I think it was on CD18. I have been on and off nauseaus with crazy headaches and mild to moderate cramping for the last two weeks. Yesterday I was POSITIVE AF was coming. Really bad cramps, tired, incredibly irritable and craving chocolate and chips, two things I never eat. I had the slightest bit of spotting yesterday afternoon, and now nothing. A mild lower backache, and some minor cramps, but that's it. No AF, and there is no way I want to take another HPT and be disappointed. Anyone been through this or have an idea what is going on? I seriously have done nothing but go to the bathroom and check for AF for the last 24 hours. I never have spotting, she just comes running through the door every month. (Sorry, couldn't think of a better analogy :-P ) HELP! Thanks!

Hi, I'm new so I still don't understand the codes, anyway, I completely understand what you're going through. Today I went to the Dr and I almost cried after she gave me the neg. I too have been staining something that has never happened, infact I'm six days late, thats defenitly never happened. I can only tell you not to stress over it, its probaly to soon, my Dr "unsatisfied" wants me to go next week for a blood test and "that's after 2neg". So dont rely too much on that result, let at least a week go by and then go to a lab. Good Luck!!

Thank you. I think I am going to give my doc a call if AF doesn't come and the cramping keeps up. He told it would take a few months to get regular after stopping my birth control pills, but I totally did not expect this. Sorry about your negative!! Good luck with your blood test.

Going off BCP can really do a number on your body, especially if you have been on it for a long time. At least that's what I hear and what I experienced. It definitely may take awhile to get regular again and for your body to get settled again. But I've also heard that some women get pregnant really fast after going off the pill. I guess I would call the doctor like you suggested if you don't get AF soon.
