the saga continues...

tweedlebug22 and urourbreanna here's the update...worked up the nerve to drive across town to the closest planned parenthood (knew they did walk-in blood tests) got over there and pretty much lost my nerve - I've always been really nervous about doctors. Anyway they were closed for staff training (& vetern's day) so maybe it was a sign i shouldn't go there.. anyway i worked up the nerve to call the woman's ob-gyn clinic that our local hospital runs and i have an appointment toworrow morning at 9 for a urine test - not that i think theirs will be any different then my BFNs! but if it comes up negative they can get me an appointment with one of their ob-gyn's for a blood test. Which is good for me because it is hard to get accepted as a new patient around here. (And they accept my insurance - yea)

Hello there,

I understand completely what you are going through. It's very frustrating to not know when you're AF will start. My last cycle was 60 days along. However, I wasn't worried about being pregnant that time, for obvious reasons. But my boyfriend and I were active without protection several times in a short time (it's a long distance relationship) and now I'm just sitting and waiting for AF to come again. Today is day 36 since my last period began on Oct 7th. And I feel crazy, because I've had lots of symptoms. If I hadn't gotten online and started checking into the symptoms I may not have noticed them, but they are definitely there. I actually haven't been feeling nauseaus today, as I have been for the last 4 days. However, I still feel tired and can't get my sleeping habit back in order. The gas has been the worst. lol :) The one symptom I never got was sore breats which I normally get before my period anyway and still don't have. I have cramped and still no AF. Everyone keeps telling me that I'm not pregnant and I actually took a HPT last night and got a negative, as I expected I would. And everyone keeps saying that it's too early for symptoms, but I don't think so, because conception would've been anywhere from 15-18 days ago. Let me know what the Doctor says. If I'm not pregnant, and my cycle lasts this long again, I think I'm gonna be needing to make an appointment too. I'm not really trying to get pregnant, just want to know that when I am ready, I'll be able to.

Well it went alright today...nothing surprising their urine test came up negative too, but the nurse was very nice and booked me to see the PA on Monday for a couple of blood tests...one is the hcg one and i can't remember what she called the other but they give it all irregular woman..she said the pa may do a pelvic exam too...i feel like they are being concerned and trying to help...i wish that they could see me sooner for the blood test because it will take them a few days to get the results back...so late next week!

I am nervous about the possible pelvic exam because i've never had one before...the whole afraid of doctors thing :) however i did find a website for teens (i'm 25) that explained what happens and i feel a little better...if it all comes up negative i'm going to be confused after having all these symptoms (and i know their not all in my head)!

I'm about going crazy with trying to keep this from DH but i'd really like it to be a surprise. He thinks these are just routine checkups (for now)! ;)

here's hoping

Are you still experiencing the same symptoms you were before? Or have they subsided any? Try not to be too nervous about the pelvic -- I know easier said than done!! I'm more afraid of the needles!!! I'm curious about the other blood test they want to do - I've never had them tell me about that - with my irregularity and all!

Keep us posted!
