PG less than a month without pill?

Hey, I'm new to this whole thing. I'm 23 and I recently (literally less than a month ago) went off the pill. I was on it for a little more than a year. I've read that the effectiveness of the pill can wear off instantly or it can take months.
My last LMP was Oct. 11th-15th. I don't know my exact cycle since this is my first month off the pill but for the past week I've been experiencing some nausea. I came out of nowhere and really hasn't gone away completely since 10-29. The following Tuesday (10-31) I noticed that my nipples were tender and they have only gotten more sensitive since then. I get tired during the day when I'm usually wide awake. But at night, I have trouble falling asleep and can't stay asleep when I finally do fall asleep. I've been eating a lot more and find myself feeling sick by the smell or taste of certain foods that never bothered me before. Usually, on or off the pill, I would cramp around 3 days off and on before AF was supposed to come but I felt some cramps a whole week before and it was an all day thing.
My BF and I haven't been as careful as we should be in the area of protection (we're not TTC). Is it possible that I could get pregnant so soon after going off the pill or is going off the pill causing PMS symptoms?
I would appreciate any input anyone can give. Thanks!

Hello. I just wanted to say that it could go either way. It could just be coming off the pill causing the pregnancy type symptoms, but in my experience, I got pg twice while taking bcp's and only missing about 3 in the middle of the pack. The only to know for sure would be to wait until your period is due and then take a test, if it is negative, some women don't get their cycles back for awhile after going off the pill.
Good Luck!
Maggie
Hello,
My name is Amy I am also 23 and am 6 weeks pregnant with my first child. My husband and I recently decided it was the right time for us to start a family, so I got off the pill which I had religiously taken for almost 4 years. I stopped taking the pill the last week of September and was pregnant by October 1st. I was also shocked that it could happen so fast I figured it would take at least a month for the hormones from the pill to get out of my system. I never really had any nausea but I was always tired even after a long nights rest, had frequent urination, hunger at odd times, sensitivity in my breasts and also have trouble sleeping through the night. Well I hope this information helps you with your question and whatever happens I wish you the best.
