My dh and I are thinking of ttc this month. We've never tried before but did get pg in June and lost it in July. We were going to wait until January but are talking about it this month. I have a question about my cervix. What is the position it should be in before, during and after ovulation and what should it be like just before af??? I know when it's closed it should feel like the end of a nose but I need to know when it should be opened or closed and what it should be doing when I'm pregnant.

Thanks in advance and BABY DUST TO ALL

I don't really know the answer to your question, but you might try posting this on the TTC board. People kinda go back and forth from here to there. Good luck.

Most of your cycle your cervix will remain low, closed and firm. As ovulation approaches it begins to get softer, and higher, and will begin to open a little. At your peak it will the highest, and softest, and most open, with plenty of EWCM. After ovulation, within a few days it should be back to where it start, low firme and closed. It will remain that way until the next ovulation time. Some can feel it open slightly for AF, but it opens so little that a lot don't notice it. It is deffinatly a good idea to start keeping track of this now, so you get the hang of it by the time you want to start ttc.
