My lmp was July 11 on a 30 day cycle but usually have a 28 to 32 day cycle. Me and my boyfriend only use the withdrawal method but last night he didn't pull out and I am a little worried that I might get pregnant. What are my chances of getting pregnant? My period is expected the earliest Aug. 8th but the latest Aug.12th. My breasts are already sore, I'm very hungry and going to the bathroom all the time. What are the chances?

It really depends on what your luteal phase is (time after ovulation until your period). In most cases you would be okay because most people but not all have a 14 day luteal phase. That would mean that you would have ovulated a few days or more before not pulling out. But, if you have a shorter one and your cycle ends up being one that is due on the 12h it could be that you could get pregnant. I would wait and see what happens and if your period doesnt show up on the 12th then I would take a test. Good luck! ~Barb~

First of all, you should really get yourself on a reliable form of BCP. As you've found out, you can't trust your boyfriend to always pull out on time, plus sperm can be transmitted in the his pre-ejaculation fluid.

Regarding the incident that just occured last night, you can go to the doctor and request the "morning after pill." It's basically BCPS with a high dose, and it can prevent pregnancy within 72 hours of intercourse.

Believe me, if you're not ready to have children and want to have sex, either use condoms or go on BCPs!

Good luck--I hope things turn out okay.

Sometimes your brain plays tricks on you. It is very possible that you are not pregnant like the 1st reply stated but take a test to confirm or deny and get you out of this waiting anxiety.

Good Luck!
