Hey all, update, I just took my pregnancy test about 3 minutes ago, and the line was VERY, VERY faint, almost non existant, but it is there. The test says that lines that show up after 10 minutes should be ignored, but this one came up immediately, just extremely faint, you almopst have to squint! Is this similar to a positive result, should I go see my doctor???? I'm freaking out!!!

Update... just tested again.. I called a pregnancy testing 24 hr hotline.... and they told me that Ic an wait a few hours and try again, because with the type of test I got it is early detection of any hormonal levels of hcg.. so I just did it again... and once again, a very faint line, but a little bit darker than the first read out. Looks like........ we may have our baby! I am going to take one more test early in the morning, then heading on over to the docs for confirmation.

Mine was very light at first too. (First Response)

The doctor's office said I could come in and get another test if I wanted, but it wasn't really necessary since they were certain the home pregnancy test was accurate. They said ANY level of hcg means you're pregnant.

Now I'm 15 weeks along and still unable to eat most foods without barfing. Congrats to you! I suggest eating your favorite meal in celebration... it might be a long time before you can eat real food (versus saltine crackers and ginger tea) again.

When I fell pregnant last year, it was a very faint line, for both tests I took... so looks like you've got a positive... :)

my results were faint, on all three, but they were visible...i've taken tests where it was negative and there was no line at all, so i think that is a winner....

It depends on the kind of test that you purchased. If it's a test that says that two lines = pregnant/ one line = not pregnant, with these tests no matter how faint the lines are if they appear . I would still contact the doctor to confirm the pregnancy

Good Luck,

I suspected I was pregnant with the little one I am carrying now (33 weeks) and took several tests all of which were negative and then just before I went on a trip I took a final test (I would most likely be served wine on this trip so I wanted to make sure) and sure enough there was a faint line. Congratulations to you, a happy nine months and an easy birth.
