Hi,

I am new to the board and a little scared right now. My last period was etiehr Dec 24th or 25th and my cycle is usually every 25-28 days. Today is day 36 and still nothing.
I have endo and was told it would be hard to get pregnant. Out of frustration i took 2 Frist Response home pregnancy tests and both had two lines which means positive. Both tests had the second line a lot lighter than the first line. Is it positive as long as you see two lines? We were only sexually active a couple times this month, but we were careful I thought. I had a pap 2 weeks ago and that was normal. Would the pap results show if i was pregnant????

How accurate are the tests? Is a faint second line positive?

I know i have to go to the doctor's, but any feedback greatly appreciated.

Just a little scared. Thanks, Nina

Hi Nina...first of all, welcome to the board! :) If you are seeing 2 lines, regardless of how faint the 2nd line is, that's a postive test. And especially if you saw a 2nd line on two separate tests. The next thing you need to do, is call your dr asap and let them know you've got a positive home pregnancy test. If it's your regular general practicioner, they might want you to come in to confirm it with another urine test, or a blood tes. Then they'll recommend you get an OB and start taking pregnatal vitamins. I know seeing that 2nd line can be VERY scary if you weren't trying to have a baby. But don't

Thank you for responding. I appreciate it.

If i am only 2 weeks is it too early to see the doctor?

I read some doctors wait until you are 6-8 weeks.

Usually yes, that's too early...an OB probably won't see you until you're 8-10 weeks. But it's always a good idea to call them and tell them. They can start you on some prenatals and get your inital blood work done... good luck!! :)
