Ok I have been sexually active for going on two months. (That's how long I've been married and we were both virgins when we got married)For the first month we used condoms until I got my period and then that Sunday I started on the pill. I've been on the pill for three weeks and now this is the fourth week when I'm suppoosed to have my period. However, so far it is a no show. Does this mean I am pregnant? I guess I'm just worried. If anyone has any info at all about this please let me know-SOON!

Thank you very much,

You're probably not pregnant. I was on the pill for 14 years and often didn't get any period at all. It's just how your body is interacting with the pill.

I think that it is a possibility that you could be pregnant. The first month you get on any kind of contraceptive you need to use a back up method until the contraceptive method begins working. If you are 1 week late take a home preg. test and see what happens. other wise good luck.

Take a home pregnancy test and then you'll know for sure. Since it is your first time on the pill, your system is probably adjusting so that may explain late period, but who knows, it only takes once...so test!

Good luck.

It is quite possible that you are pregnant because anytime you start on the pill, you want to use condoms too because it takes a month or two before the pill becomes effective. Take a home pregnancy test and then you will know. If you don't get it in another two weeks, then go to the doctor if pregnancy tests are still showing negative, if they are negative.

I would like to comend you (is that the right word?) for being a virgin when you and your husband got married you don't find that often these day---also they are right everyones body reacts differantly to any kind of birthcontrol so usually they (the doctors) say to use two kinds (condom and pills) for the first month or so so your body can adjust--I hope that whatever you want out of this happens!

Are you on your "reminder pills" this week? When I was on the pill, my period started on Thursday (can't beat that reliability). Since it's your first month on the pill, it may be another cycle or two before you become so regular, but in a week if you're still "period free," maybe pick up a HPT and see what it says. I think you're probably in the clear though.
