Well...I know what most of you are going to say about this post. How irresponsible. Here is the thing. I am on the Birth Control Yasmin. I am on my 4th package. (I had a horrible reaction to a different type for the 3 months before that) Well anyways. This month I was terrible at taking my BC the first week. One of them, I even lost, and didn't take it. (I know, that is horrible) So I was late about 4 out of 7 days of the first week, and missed one completely. Well this week, I was feeling like I was going to be starting my period. And on Tuesday I was feeling like I was ovulating, (very sharp pains around my ovaries, and my lower back was killing me) Well on Wednesday same thing...except I had "very" unprotected sex that morning. I was completely not thinking, and was thinking that I ovulated next week. MY BAD. Tuesday and Wednesday were my days of ovulation. What are the chances I could get pregnant???? Please don't tell me that I am a dumby for not taking my pills right. I just completely was wrong about my ovulation. What is your input??

First of all, you aren't dumb. No one is here to judge you-- just give you advice!! So, you clearly had sex around the right time to get pregnant. New studies show that the best chances to conceive are having sex the couple of days BEFORE ovulation, so that might be good news for you. If it was just this past Wednesday that this all happened, and you do not want to be pregnant, you may still be a candidate for emergency contraception (you can go to www.not-2-late.com if you are interested). Otherwise, I would wait about two more weeks from now and take a test. Even if you bleed when you stop your birth control pills, I'd take a test to ease your mind. The bleeding from birth control pills isn't actually a 'period' it's just hormone withdrawal bleeding. Anyway, take a test in a couple of weeks. I hope you get the answer that you want.

The only advice I can give you is to not stress out about it until you know for sure if you're prego or not. There's no need to get stressed just to find out that you're not, and you've been worrying for no reason. Just wait until you are able to take a test, and then go from there. That's what I've been doing. Anyway, I know it's not the best advice, but I'm kinda in the same situation, I know what you're going through.

Best of luck......
