I'm worried that I might be pregnant. The thing is though that I'm not due for my next period until the 12th. However, on the 23rd of August my partners condom broke, and about 3 days later I started to feel very strange. My concern is that because of what happened i may be subconsciously giving myself the symptoms. Since then I've felt very weak, shaky, and tired. I'm usually the type of person who will ask that the heat be turned up, but lately even though it's been about 12 degrees here I've felt unusually hot. I could really use some help with this just to ease my mind. Also does anyone know how early you can get a pregnancy test?

Well my period is on the 12th also, so we o'd on the 29th the chance are slim but they are posiable you could have relesed a egg earlyer. I have been getting this weired type of sickness and mountain dew makes me want to braf. The earlest you can test it either after you're period or you can test 3 to 4 days before you're peirod with frist respons.

There are hpt out there that you can use 3-4 days before your period starts (First Response Early) is one of them. However, be cautioned, the earlier you test, the more inaccurate the test could be. Not every woman will test positive early on, it takes some women more than 2 weeks post AF to test positive.

How long are your cycles? Do you pay attention to your cycles every month? When do you usually ovulate? Implantation usually doesn't take place for about a week after you have ovulated (give or take a few days) so, you definately wont get any results until then. However, if you are really concerned, go to the doctor or a planned parenthood and get a blood test. I'm pretty sure they can test earlier than a hpt.

If you have regular cycles and they run about 28 days, the 23rd would be a little early, but it is possible. Try not to stress (I know it's hard). Take things day by day and try not to take every little feeling as a pg symptom, remember pg symptoms are a lot like PMS. Also, stress can make your body do funny things too.

Good luck,

Until the fertilized egg implants in the uterus, it is not "communicating" with your body and there is no cause for legitimate physical symptoms. This implantation typically occurs about one week after conception; at earliest it happens at 4 days after. It sounds to me like you might be suffering more from stress right now than from PG.

Good luck to you!

PS - If you really don't want to risk a pregnancy, you may wish to consider additional forms of birth control beyond condoms. Condoms have a significantly higher failure rate than birht control pills and other methods; ask your health care provider for more information.
