Hi everyone!
I have actually been watching this board for a while now. My sister thought she might be pregnant and needed some help. (Turns out she was!) Everyone on here is so helpful.
Ok, now my situation. I was supposed to start a new BC pack on 8/6. My DH and I went out of town for that weekend and silly me I didn't get a refill before we left. I wasn't able to go to the pharmacy until Tuesday and so I just took 2 pills that Tuesday night and 2 the next night until I was caught up (I've been on BC for 5 years now and have done this countless times, haven't gotten preggo yet). Well, DH and I had our 5th year anniversary on Saturday 8/12 and so we decided to celebrate early on Friday night :). We didn't use backup protection. A couple of days later my breasts started hurting, I had some very light spotting a couple of days ago (I can't remember when exactly), just a few days ago I also started feeling queasy every once in a while, and last night (8/21) I woke up in the middle of the night with cramps, gas, and nausea. I am expecting my AF 8/31. I usually get slight cramps almost exactly a week before my AF (so the ones I'm getting now are kind of early). Could I be? My DH keeps teasing me that I am, but I am inclined to think I'm not because we have had so many pregnancy scares in the past. A baby wouldn't be unwelcome but we aren't exactly trying for one either.
Please help me! I'm just curious. Thanks in advance.

Hello Hannah!
Welcome to the board! :)
I know from my past, I was on bcp for 13 years and when I had to double up, that usually made my cycle a little messed up. I would get really nauseous, tender breasts, and cramps. So, I think that what you're experiencing could be just a side-effect from the doubling up you did. But, it's not to say it's not impossible to be pregnant. When did you say AF was due? The 31st? Maybe wait until at least then to test, and in the meanwhile just treat your body as if you were...just in case.
Good luck, and I hope you get the results you're looking for. Please, keep us posted on how you're doing and feel free to post any more questions, insights or whatever whenever you want! :)

I am pretty much in the same boat. I didn't miss any pills though, so I know it's unlikely I'm pregnant. I have been having pain around my incision (I had a c-section almost a year ago), cramping, SORE boobs, lower back pain, increased saliva and metallic taste, headaches, etc. I called the dr today and they told me it's very possible I may have gotten pg on the pill. How often does that happen? Also I have been having discharge from my nipples, but I am not sure if that is still left over from nursing my daughter. I stopped nursing her almost 5 mths ago. Any opinions would be welcome. AF is due in a week.
