Hi there... I've been reading over this board and wanted to ask if maybe anyone else has experienced what I am going through right now. It's kind of a long story...
My periods have always been semi-regular, with kind of a long cycle. Last month I started spotting on April 15, and continued to spot until the 20th, when the normal bright-red flow started. That lasted for only a couple of days and the spotting resumed for a couple more days, with the heavier flow coming again a couple days after that. So the spotting and bleeding lasted for about two weeks. Last month was also the first month I tried using a DivaCup menstrual cup, albeit not for the entire two weeks. I was just trying to get the hang of it.
I expected to AF to start around the beginning of this week. I've had no usual PMS symptoms, ie. moodiness, sore breasts, etc., and still don't, but I am having a little bit of queasiness and it may just be psychological, but my lower abdomen seems to be puffier as well as my breasts, and there is this strange heavy feeling in my abdomen. I understand that early pregnancy symptoms are often similar to PMS symptoms, so I'm really not sure what to do. The moral of the story is, AF is a few days late, but I don't feel at all like it will be starting. I mentioned it to a girl I work with and she said maybe I was already pregnant last month when I was experiencing the days of spotting and normal flow.
My mother said I should just get a test, which I probably will if AF still doesn't show within the next couple of days, but I have gotten tests before and they seem to be a guarantee that AF will start the day after, or something. : ) I would secretly be thrilled if I was pregnant. I have definitely been having the baby itch for a while now, but DH is not as excited. We're not really financially stable right now, but would find a way for it to work. We have used the not very effective withdrawal method for close to seven years now,

Thanks very much for your quick reply!! That was just what I wanted to hear. ; ) I will probably wait a couple of days and then get a test and see what's up.
Thanks also for the warm welcome!
