Hi!!

Has anyone ever reused an hpt test and gotten a positive result the 2nd time around? I realize you aren't supposed to, but when anxiety is at it's peak, and no new tests around, what's a body to do??

Oh good I am not the only one!

I am guilty as well but never with a positive. I think I will try and save an old one and see if it works when I am actually PG.

LOL

hmmmm....when you've reused them, did you rinse them with water first or just pee on them again? *hehe* such a weird topic, but now i'm curious!

I wish I saved an old one...but I don't think it would work. It would seem if the agent that reacts in the test hs been used, then even when dry...I don't think it would work again. But I have been guilty in the past. :) But if you do reuse them, I would take it apart to dry, because even when the stick seems dry, the strip for testing isn't always. LOL Anyways...I think we all are crazy!!

I didn't take it apart. It was some days before I reused it, so it was dry. I just started to think, if the agent on the strip wasn't activated to show a positive the first time, then maybe it would activate the second time. I didn't do these kind of things with my first child, I was 21, and didn't know of such goings-on. Now that I am 40---well, maybe I am getting looney!!

Hi Ladies ~ I read this topic, and it got me curious... SO..... I tried it!!! LOL.

I took a test yesterday morning, and a had a faint positive line. So, I just "re-peed", and it did not make the faint line any darker....so, I don't think it works...but it was a good idea!!!
