Does anyone know if Robitussin works for TTC? I have heard that it makes you more "lubricated" for the sperm to survive. Any advice would help! Thanks in advance.

I've never heard that one before. What are the ingredients? Is there a particular property thats soposed to help increase bloodflow?I'm assuming thats why there would be more lubrication, from a higher state of arrousal.I'd be curious to see if there's any truth to that one.Sorry I can't help you,Christy

I asked about Robitussin on another board and got great responses!! They said it would make you more "lubricated" to help the sperm to move more freely. Hope this helps anyone else!

The active ingredient is Guaifenesin. Make sure you just get the plain robitussin ( not anything for allergies,fever,ect..) This one is Alcohol-free and loosens & relieves chest congestion. Good luck to everyone who is TTC.

I've taken pure guafin(whatever it's called) before with bronchitis. It's a prescription. It sure does make everything runny!!!!!!! (TMI-I know) I've never experienced it with Robitussin DM (that's the one I have had to take prior to prescriptions- I get bronchitis a lot) The DM is the expectorant portion that contains that stuff.

I read a few articles about this. Women who ovulate properly, but produce too little CM this can help. It will help you produce extra CM, therfore giving the sperm a chance of survival while trying to get to where there headed. You want as plain of an expectorant that you can get.

What it does is thin out the fluids. When some women get to thick of cm it will thin it out to let the sperm get to where it needs to get. Just like it thins out the fluid in the sinices it will do the same there. It will not lubricate you any more or less, just thin it out. Hope this helps.
