Hi there, I have taken a couple of HPT's and the second line has started to get lighter and lighter (still there but barely now. It was never a dark line). Im afraid of the inevitable! Has anyone has this happen to them? What was the outcome? Im trying to prepare myself for a possible early m/c.

Hi there... I had a similar experience. I posted my story under the subject: Chemical pregnancy if you want to read it.

Basically I had got a faint line one day, another faint line the next, then on the 3rd day when I was scheduled to see my doctor the line got fainter and I just had a bad feeling about it. Turned out that I was pg, for a very short time but it just didn't stick. I know that a lot of other woman have have much more terrible experiences that this one so even though I was upset for a day or so I didn't let myself dwell on it. I was testing sooo early, AF wasn't even due yet, so I did learn my own lesson--I'm not testing early again, but that's just me. I'd rather not know that I'm pg if it's not going to stick. But I realy hope that's not the case with you..maybe you're just testing at different times of the day so the hcG levels aren't as concentrated... that can cause faint lines.

Good luck!! I really hope you get another darker line... please keep us posted!! :)

Thank you for the reply. I think I had a chemical pg too. This mornings (FMU)HPT line was soooo light that any normal person would consider it a negative. So it didnt stick. Like you said, Ive learned a hard lesson, no more jumping the gun to test. I still have a dr. appt. Tuesday for b/w but I already know the outcome. Now I have to just wait for the dreaded AF to show up. Im sad, but if it wasnt meant to be, it wasnt meant to be. Try & try again!
Thank you for your input!

I'm so sorry, it really is a sucky thing... I just tried to think of the positives, such as at least DH and will have another month of "fun trying" and that

Thank you. I am glad that it happened as early as it did. Heck, had I not been so anxious to test, I may have never known. So I will find the positive in it, and like you said, my DH and I will have fun trying again! Thanks again for your concern! =)
