Short luteal phase question

My luteal phase is only 11 days. I am 7dpo, 4 days before AF is due. Does that mean I can take one of those tests that say "test up to 4 days before AF"? Or does that really translate into "take as early as 10 dpo (since most women's LP is 14 days?)". I have 2 children already, but with both I didn't test until AF was late, so I have no idea what would happen if I test early, and I don't want to waste the money. Anyone with any insight or experience on this?

Thanks!!

since your only 7 dpo there is no way you would get a +++ more than likely implantion would just now be taking place and you have to give it 3 or 4 more days before you would get a +++ on a sensitive test like the AE or FRER! Dont pay attention to that box they go by woman who have a 28 day cycle and O right at cd 14 !They use the average which 99% of woman I run into do not even fit into the average !My advise is to save your money and test if af doesnt show !
