Is Shortness of Breath a Sign?
| Thu, 08-16-2007 - 5:15pm |
I'm on CD28 of a 32-34 day cycle. I estimate I'm about 7dpo. I've had shortness of breath and constipation for the past 3 days, accompanied with fatigue and sore breasts (started today). I've NEVER had shortness of breath like this before AF and I'm a healthy, active 26 year old.
Has anyone had shortness of breath and ended up preggo?

I just tried to post an answer to you, and it didn't show up...If it does, sorry for the duplicate. Wanted to say that rising progesterone levels in early pregnancy cause the shortness of breath. I had it in early pregnancy, too, and hated it. It does go away though. It is definitely a sign of pregnancy though! Progesterone is one of the important hormones that support the pregnancy until the placenta takes over some weeks later..It is very important, almost more so than HCG because if you do not produce enough progesterone, your pregnancy won't last. So I would take it as a good sign that you are making enough progesterone, if indeed you are pregnant. Good luck..hope that helps..It may not be too early to get a BFP now..let us know what happens!
Thank you for your response. It's been really weird. Pretty much on and off for the past 3-4 days. Not to mention, I've also been constipated, which I also read is a sign of early pregnancy. I've had sore breasts too, backache, and mild cramping for the past 3-4 days.
I'm planning on testing mid-week next week (if I can hold out that long!), so I'll keep you posted!
