yes you can bleed while pregnant. but if it gets to be heavy or bright red something is wrong. i don't know a whole lot about the shot, but as far as i know the odds you can get pregnant while on it are slim. do you bleed like this with every period? if you do it may be the shot. i have heard people that bleed beyound their period aand it was a reaction to the shot. if things don't get better see your dr. i hope this helps.

Hello,

I do not think you are pregnant. It sounds like you need to maybe up the dose (if they have doses) or change to a pill form. If you are pregnant (have you tested?) and have bright red blood, which is usually accompanied by severe cramping, the you could be having a miscarriage.

You should speak to your doctor.

Hi,

I used to bleed through on the shot all the time. It turned out it just wasn't the answer for me. I had pg tests, ultrasounds, other tests and it was just breakthrough bleeding due to my body wanting to keep a regular cycle. This could be the case for you. Apparently, it's not all that uncommon.

Good luck,

Hello,

I agree with the other poster that maybe the shot isnt right for you. You should talk to your doctor and see what other options you have.

I dont think your preganet but my question is when you originally got the shot were you on your period or not? Most health care professional tell you it best you get the shot while seeing your period if not it will let you bleed through the months which can be uncomfortable. U should try to visit your doctor if you have questions and need answers.

since it bright red, then I would suggest you see a dr. it sounds like the shot isn't for you. i had a friend that was on the shot and had her period for 6 months, with maybe a week break inbetween. it was a reaction to the shot.
