Someone Please Help

I have had a VERY regular period for the past 14 years. Every 28 days for 5 days straight. Pretty light the first day, heavy on day 2, and light on days 3-5... I am saying all of this to hopefully elicit more accurate responses. :) My husband was told a few years ago (before we were together) that he could not have children (by two different docs). I know that sometimes things happen, however.

The reason I am here. I had my regular period that began on the 1st of June. On the 12th or 13th of June I started spotting. Nothing that would soak anything, but enough to notice...mostly brown. It lasted for a couple of days, but I thought yesterday (on the 15th) it was all gone. Nothing showing when I used toilet tissue or anything. Well today, after my husband and I had sex we BOTH noticed a really bright red blood lingering...and this did soak somewhat into my underwear (like a super light day--wouldn't reach outer clothing).

I am just VERY concerned because I have never had spotting or abnormal periods. I am NOT on any type of birth control and have not been in my life (minus 3 months back at the end of 2001). I read a little about ovulation bleeding (which I have never had before) and implantation bleeding...but I have never been pregnant, so I would not know about that either. Is it possible it could be too much sex?? I don't feel any pain or anything, and we haven't had "dry" sex, so it just doesn't seem like it.

The only other possibility that I read it could be was a cyst or something. I just don't know, and I wanted to ask before I make a medical appointment.

THANKS to EVERYONE who responds, as I am really at a loss for answers.

It seems a little early and intermittent to be implantation bleeding, which wouldn't occur for 20+ days after the first day of your last period, unless you ovulate early and have a long luteal phase. Try not to worry too much, if you don't have any pain it may not be anything serious...just in case, I think you should call your doctor.

Good Luck, sending positive vibes your way,

~Laura

Thank you...I am going to the doctor on Monday...my husband is "making" me go... I have just never experienced this, so I am a little nervous! You are going to have a great baby, BTW...my birthday is on the 29th of Dec. (But I am 29 years older than your baby.) :) A little December baby advice...always remember the b-day, and NEVER combine Christmas and birthday gifts...even when you have other kids. :) Baby blessings!!!

I totally agree with your advice! Lol. My birthday is 12/27 (my brother is 12/29) and we often had combined gifts (Christmas/Birthday) and combined birthday parties. No fun. Good luck with your dr's appt on Monday!

Thank you,

My sister was born on 12/10 and she always hated it because of the combined gift/x-mas themed parties....lol.

Let us know how your appointment goes!
