I've not heard of it, but in my mind, anything weird that your body does is usually caused by hormones of some sort or the other.

I haven't had this happen to me...yet, or that I've noticed, but I know a girl who's gums did bleed.

Here's an article I found from Babycenter.com

My gums bleed now when I floss and brush. Is that normal?
Swollen, tender gums that bleed when you floss or brush are a common complaint during pregnancy. They're caused by higher progesterone levels, which make your gums react more to the bacteria in plaque, and by an increased blood supply to your mouth. This so-called pregnancy gingivitis affects about half of pregnant women.

You may also develop a benign nodule on your gums that bleeds when you brush. This kind of nodule (which is relatively rare) is called a pregnancy tumor or pyogenic granuloma — scary names for something that's harmless and usually painless. Pregnancy tumors can actually pop up anywhere on your body during pregnancy, but they show up most often in the mouth.

A pregnancy tumor can grow to up to 3/4 of an inch in size and is more likely to appear in an area where you have gingivitis. Typically, it disappears after you have your baby, but if it doesn't, you'll need to have it removed. And if it causes discomfort, interferes with chewing or brushing, or starts to bleed excessively, you can have it removed while you're pregnant.

Hi ,my AF is due on Tuesday.I weigh myself today and I haven't gain any weight but still my waist line is up by 1 inch I guess its from being bloated and I haven't had the metallic taste at all today, so it makes me question myself (could this all be in my mind) One good thing is that I still have the heavy feeling in my uterus with alittle mild twinging.Even when my husband rest his head on my tummy as we were watching tv last night it felt like something was there and I just wanted him to move.
