STRANGE SYMPTOMS RE: THYROID???

I've had VERY sore nipples since Friday, which would be 5 dpo for me. I've been EXTREMELY moody and irritable (more so than when I am PMS'ing) that DH called me out and told me to stop acting like a bitch the other night! LOL I've been bloated and peeing more frequently. I'm currently 10 dpo. I'm not due for AF until Saturday or Sunday.

Then this morning, I woke up and I feel like I have a swollen gland on the right side of my upper neck/jaw area, near my thyroid (it could be my thyroid for all I know). It is not really painful unless I press on it and it makes itself noticeable when I swallow, but not really painful, if you know what I mean. I don't remember this occurring when I was preggo with DD 7 years ago, so I'm hoping someone out there can help!

Has anyone had any glandular or thyroid problems and ended up pregnant? What do you think the odds are with these symptoms?

I'm planning on testing Saturday or Sunday AM so I guess we'll have to wait and see!

I HATE waiting...

It's in my upper neck region. It's hard to explain, but it's to the right of my upper neck, underneath my chin, but on the chin part, close to my right jawline. LOL If you grab your throat with your left hand by your jawline, it's on the right side just under your left index finger.

When I press into the neck, I can feel that the gland is swollen. And it's not really sore ON the gland, but behind/underneath it. When I press into my chin along my chin bone line, it's also sore in there.

It doesn't really hurt on it's own, but does when I press on it or feel it. And it's only on the right side. Nothing on the left. I'm not sick and don't feel sick, so maybe it's a warning sign that I might be getting sick soon? LOL

I just found it odd since it happened overnight and I've had uterine cramping, and the sore nipples (among other symptoms) since Friday. It thought it could all be related. I am still not sure. I've searched the web for information but I'll hold off to call the doctor for a while and see what happens.

I'm testing Saturday or Sunday morning so I'll keep you posted.

Just a thought, but have you been to a dentist lately? I think infected teeth can sometimes give you some pain and swelling in your jaw. It could be that you need something like a root canal, but I am by no means a doctor. I just know that I've had teeth do weird things like give me headaches and the like. DH has had some jaw pain recently from a wisdom tooth that desperately needs to come out, but I'd definately have it checked out before it gets worse!

*hugs*

Stephanie

It's not pain in my jaw or teeth, it's a swollen gland. I can feel it. It's definitely larger than the other one. Plus, I'm one of the lucky few that don't get wisdom teeth! :) LOL

Me three! No wisdom teeth here!

I've had that gland swollen myself in the past...no big deal, it usually goes away in a day or two. Never found out exactly what caused it, though. GL!

Hello,

You could be just fighting an infection like a cold or something. Those glands are used for that purpose. YOu may not feel sick but you have foreign bacteria or a virus.

Just keep an eye on it. IF it continues for a few more days just let your doctor know.
