Temping w dip

In a earlier post I had mentioned that this month I had given up temping because I had thrown in the towel on trying to get preg. After ovulation I changed my mind and just started temping again.

I have been (since ovulation) having temps around 98.43. I am on day 13 of my luteal phase which is normally 14 days. On Sunday my temp was 98.43. Yesterday it dropped to 97.27 (so I was sure my period would show up), today there is no period and my temp is back up to 98.23. I was looking at the pregnancy charts on fertility friend and noticed many ladies who got a positive test result also had a dip (around day 8). What is this dip? Can anyone explain my temp drop to me? I wonder if I should test or if I should just wait it out. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi there... I think that sometimes a temp dip around implantation can occur. But I dont' think any website or doctor wants to validate it because it doesn't always happen and sometimes it's hard to decipher if that's what it is or not. But, I'd say it can't hurt to test. If it's negative, maybe wait another few days and test again...

Good luck! I hope that's what it was, an implantation temp dip, and you get your BFP! :)

Thank you! I'm hopeful but also will remain realistic. I could test with tomorrow's FMU but then I think I should wait until Thursday to see if my period shows up. I hate wasting $$$ on tests that are mean to me (by showing me a neg).

Haha... I know what you mean! I'm sooo holding myself back from testing right now. But that would just be absolutely SILLY of me.. I'm only about 3DPO!! Hahaha...so yeah, I'm pretty sure regardless of if I was pg or not, I'd be seeing a BFN! ;)
