in your estimations and ttc adventures.
I have three kids, ages 5, 4, and almost 3. 2 months before my oldest child was conceived, I had a miscarriage at 7 weeks. I just had this "feeling" I was pregnant again and low and behold, I was. I found this out with an ept around 7 weeks. No real symptoms, just that "feeling".
With child #2, we weren't even trying, and perhaps it was denial (child #2 was conceived when child #1 was only 3.5 months old), but I don't recall having any symptoms with him either. I found out at around 6 weeks, becase AF took a vacation. OH! And the test I took had the faintest line... if you squinted and held it realllllllllllly close and were just in the right light... only then could you see this line. So be careful- faint lines are still lines.
Now at some point I apparently stopped ovulation and having periods all together about 6 months or so later. I was only 22 at the time, so this was VERY odd. Well, they put me on progesterone to jump start AF and then Clomid to jump start ovulation. They tell me at this time to be sure to take an ovulation predictor test every day to make sure the Clomid worked. Some of you realize how completely expensive these tests get to be! But we found a way, and I took them every day. Every one of them came back negative the entire month. My husband (now ex) and I had sex every day of that month also, just to "insure" a baby *lmao*. How silly does that sound now? Anyway... because every opt came back neg. I went ahead and took an ept at the end of it all just to be safe, and it was also negative. So we decided it wasn't meant to be and began from that point on to use bc.
A few weeks later my back started hurting realllllly bad. I remember calling the ask-a-nurse line and explaining my situation and telling her my back hadn't hurt this bad since I was in the 9th month of my last pregnancy (I laughed. She didn't). She asks me if I could be pregnant. I laughed hysterically and told her of my situation and how there was NO WAY I could be pregnant. I thought she was insane. Didn't she hear me say all the tests were negative? *lol*
I told husband at the time what she said, and that before we went down there she wanted me to take an hpt. We both thought it was crazy to do, but went ahead and did it all the same. As soon as my urine hit the stick BOOM there were those double lines. We were in shock. Turns out, by the time I found out, I was already 10.5 weeks along!! Just goes to show you that tests can be decieving. :) Don't give up!
Julie
