Time of day to take HPT?

Hi, I just brought a HPT and was wondering when is the best time of day to take it. The package says any time is good. I had a urine test done yesterday at doc's office, but it was BFN. I am a week late and have no signs of AF starting. I only have frequent urination and slight tender bbs, but no other symptoms of pg. This will be pg #2 after first four years ago. Any suggestions if taking hpt is better in the morning w/ first pee or any time of day just as good?

Thanks,

Melissa

my doc said it shouldn't matter what time of day, but then again, he's a guy. *hehe* i suggest first thing in the morning, or at least after waiting a couple hours (which is really hard if you constantly have to pee!!!). i think the big thing is that if you're going to test later in the day, make sure you don't drink a lot for the hour or two before you test cuz then you might end up diluting your unrine and thus making the concentration of hcg lower. good luck!!

Hi Anna Rae,

I decided to wait until tomorrow morning to test. That would be two days from the day I took the p test at docs office and it was neg. I'll let you know what happens.

Anna Rae - I just tested and it was neg. I'm going to give it another week for AF to begin. That will make me two weeks late and that will be the longest it takes for my cycle to change since this had happened years ago. If the second hpt is neg, and I still have no signs of AF starting, I'll call doc to schedule an appt. Thanks for your support. - Melissa

it's too bad our bodies can't make sense, isn't it?? seeing a doc if you're still getting BFN and still no AF is a good idea tho - then you can get a blood test or find out if something is wrong. i've heard a lot of people talking about a drug used to induce a period....how does that work?? i'll definatly want to know what you find out!
