TMI...kinda gross

Ok...TMI here but my dh and I are ttc and I have noticed that after we have intercourse and I use the bathroom (per my gyno's instructions for not getting bladder infections) all of the...fluid...runs out of me! Or maybe it's not all...just some? I'm just worried that we won't be able to conceive if nothing is staying in! Help...and sorry for the grossness but I was just wondering if I'm the only one or if I'm just being stupid!

I have the same problem and I am not pregnant. I wasn't quite sure who to ask about it. Recently, afterward I lay there for a little while, trying not to move and lose any of it. I am curious to know the answer, so if you find out e-mail me at sarahcothren@aol.com.

I was just reading online somewhere (sorry I've been so many sites, I don't remember where) that alot of what falls out is vaginal fluid and semen not sperm. Take a minute or two, or 20 and just lay there on your back. I've been only staying on my back for maybe 3 minutes and noticed that not as much stuff falls out. I'm pretty sure that as soon as ejaculation happens there are 1000's of swimmers immediately deposited way up there where they need to be and they start swimming right away. I know sometimes Dh will continue a few more strokes after ejaculation and then he sometimes just kinda lays there still inside me and we exchange some sweet talk and kisses and such. Sorry if all that is tmi but I know it can happen! When I got pg last year (m/c) we were 'doggystyle' and I immediately got up and even tried to push it all back out (he was supposed to pull out!) but I still ended up pg.
Spermies are amazing and it only takes 1.
Good luck!

Hi all -
My DH and I are trying to conceive as well (we are only in cycle 1) but I have done lots of reading and I found one site where the doctor recommended that before you BD at night, do all your routines (washing your face, brushing your teeth, using the restroom) then BD and once you are done, place a rolled up towel under your lower back/butt to elevate and allow gravity to run its course. The doctor actually recommended not getting up again until morning and just sleeping that way. Some semen and fluid will leak probably regardless of when you get up, and the other girls are right, it only takes 1!!
If you have a history of bladder infections and still want to try this, I did have a friend (who had been trying for months and was desperate) who would actually keep a damp washrag by her bed, or have her DH get one for her, and kind of just wipe off to keep the area clean. She said it helped.
Anyways, sorry for the TMI, I hope that helps!! Good Luck!
