too early to test, but line faint???

I decided early off in Septemer I wanted to start trying for another (I have a 5 yr old) so I went off Ortho-Tricyclen Sept. 18th, mid- pill pack, had no spotting . On October 8-13 I had a normal (pre-pill) period, afterward bloating - gone!! Then around this week, sore bbs, cramping, (did have ovulation pains like I remember pre-pill on 10/20) and fatigue (sleeping much better then usual) frequent potty trips.

So, silly excited me took 3 First Response 'early test' tests, thinking they's all be neg. so I'd maybe, not think about it...

First one on 10/28 @9pm neg took one when I woke up @ 10am next day, the pink dye rushed across, the test line went pink, noticed the pink dye kinda hung around and formed a lighter pink line in the positive side. I took another test this am @ 7 and.. same thing.(OH and this isn't an evaporation line, it happened in the 4 minute mark, I'm a dok & timed 5 minutes!!)

So I'm confused, doesn't it take 14 days for ovulation?

I think when I tested w/ my first bebe, I did test before my period was due, and with a Walmart brand. I know when I had my first OB test, and they ran the Hcg test the Dr kept asking, when was your last period?? And upped my due date since it was on the higher end.

Is this normal??

Did I jump the gun, and goof up 2 tests? Or am I.....???

ANY help would be great!!

I would say you might be, too faint line test are a good sign. I take it you haven't missed you're period yet? If you haven't thats why they are faint. Most test are supposed to be taken in the mornign so that why the other test said neg. It will say right on the box's take anytime or in the morning. I would go get a blood test from the doctors and see.

see, that's where I am lost, I think my AF is ??? early second week of NOv. which is why I don't really want to get my hopes up, at the same time, I'm too cautious to have a glass of wine, so I'm offering to be designated driver for Halloween!!! lol.

I'm thinking.. maybe wait until Sunday to test again? Should it be darker, or just wait longer?? Dr. says no blood test until Nov. 14th!! UGH!!!

Well thats a long wait. Well yes i would try again on sunday and see if the line is draker test in the morning first morning urin is always good. Just keep on doing it, skip a few days and test again till you get the blood test done, you can get one that has a 3 pack that will save you on some money.

You could be pregnant... if you're right and you felt ovulation pain on the 20th the you'd be about 8 DPO when you tested... some women do get very faint positives around then. Test again in a couple of days with morning uring and let us know!! Good luck x

Hi All,

I know this thread isn't "mine".. but I share the "faint line" trait and can use some insight. I am six days late. My periods are regular. I seem to have all other symptoms... nausea, light headedness, heavy breasts, excess discharge etc. I did 3 HPTs. The first was negative. The second had a faint line. The morning sample tested negative again. This is really driving me crazy. We dont have the serum HCG available near to where I live now and the next option is a TVS. Any prognosis from anyone?

Thnx

Sam, were they different tests you did?

It's probably just too early to get a definitely positive, or your urine was more concentrated on one than the other... ?

hey girl, i am in the same plae you are. my af is due on 11/5-11/6 and i am dying to test. i really am trying to hold out till sunday though. i spent 15 bucks on those early response test and do not want them to go to waste. not sure what to tell you about the results you got with yours. it sounds hopeful for you . i guess we all have to remain opptomistic though. i know with my son a home test was never proof enough for me. i went out and spent tons of money having blood test done trying to convince me. it was not till my 6 week ulrasound so i could see the baby's heart beat that i was a believer. i wish you lots of luck and hope that the pregnancy angel has payed you a visit. michele

I guess these are the times when patience is not exactly our best virtue. In the meantime, my gyn did an ultrasound - said "looks good" - but maybe too early for a sac :(

I gave a blood sample for the beta HCG and was supposed to know by now, but the lab says they will call me back tomorrow.... this suspense is killing!!!

Somehow during this time, I have started hoping for a positive turn... just wish the angels are watching over me.

take care all,

Sam
