Trying, trying, trying

Hello! My husband and I are ttc. This is our second month trying. Last month, I didn't pay much attention to ovulation since I am irregular. However, this month I bought ovulation predictors. I took one last Wed and Thurs and got a faint line....no surge. Then I ran out. On Sunday, I had pain in my right side and my cm was clear and slippery so I figured I was ovulating. We tried twice that day. Then I bought more ovulation tests and on Monday the line was faint and Tuesday the line was even more faint. Did I ovulate? When you take those tests, how many days do they show a surge? Do I have a good chance of conceiving if we tried each day the week before and on Sunday when I think I ovulated? I am new at this! Any advice would help.

OPK's test the LH surge that happens anywhere from 24-36 hrs before you O. I would personally check your CM and if you are not squemish check you CP. Some women don't get a positive OPK at all. My first 4 mths of trying I never got it. Oh the money I could have saved!
CM- Cervical Mucus should be almost like Egg White consistency it is very strechy, usually it can be watery right before you O but all women are different.

Thank you so much. I am very new at all of this. Do you know of any websites that have information on how to chart....and chart temps as well. It is all so overwhelming and confusing to me. It seems as though making a baby when you really want one is complicated. I appreciate it!
