Hi,
Okay well my AF was due on Aug 24th.
I still have not bleed.but on the 24th i had like only a brown-ness and some pink on that day and the day after and it's gone now..
Me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex on the 19 of august.
I took a test this week tuesday it was negative..
I went to a clinic that my aunt works at and she says it's probaly to early to tell
i am just alittle nervous and scared because i've never missed a period and i am diabetic so i am also scared if i am how would my sugars effect my baby if there's one.
I just wanted someone to talk to and maybe get some advice.

I'm a diabetic too...it is EXTREMELY important that you keep your blood sugars low during the first few weeks of pregnancy because this is when the nervous system and all important organs are developing. High blood sugars in early pregnancy can cause MAJOR birth defects such as spina bifida and malformed heart. Pregnancy blood sugars MUST be maintained between 70-100 at all times in the first 2 trimesters.

During my last pregnancy, I was testing my sugar levels 8-10 times a day and was also on an insulin pump. I had regular appointments with a high-risk OB that included special ultrasounds of the baby's heart at 17 weeks to make sure that she had all four chambers and that they were functioning properly, and also weekly ultrasounds in the last two months.

If you think that you may be pregnant, please keep your sugars low and be very diligent with checking your levels until you find out for sure. Then find yourself a high-risk OBGYN. Good luck...let us know what happens!!

Well i am trying my best to keep my sugars low. But i am afarid to take my Metaformin because of the warning. So i am basically just try to do it with watching what i eat.
It's just very hard to get a understanding doctor or get to one in my area. I am hopefully gonna see my moms family practice doctor. about my diabetes and also ask them for a pregnancy test. The highest my sugars have been so far is like 110-120. But i realli am trying to keep it undercontrol till i get a test done.Because if i am i realli don't want anything bad to happen to the baby.
But thank you for the responses i'll try to keep you all posted. It's just kinda hard to get online alot with college and work.
but thank you!
