I posted a little while ago about feeling different and being on the pill and being worried i might be preggos. well so you all know i got my period as expected, so no worries...but i do have another question? if you all dont mind? for anybody who was on bcp and has stopped. I just took my last pill on Saturday Oct. 28th. After much thought I decided this would be my last pack of pills(I have been on them for over a year, but its not my first time on them either) I decided I wanted to try something w/ less side effects and no hormones. So of course I have to wait till I can get in to see my ob. Well I got my period as expected on Nov. 1st. I was sopouse to start my next pack of pills that following sunday, but didnt since Im no longer taking them. well my period ended on saturday, i started spotting on sunday, monday, wens & thursday and looks like I might have spotted a little today as well. well on top of that im getting crazy pains in my ovaries. sometimes on the left but I can really feel them on the right side, its very noticable. I was wondering if this is just my body getting back to its old self and if anybody else went through this? Thanks! Sorry so long.

Hi Ashly :) Glad that one dilemma has ended for ya..............as for getting off your BCP I had experienced pretty much the same symptoms that you're going through right now. I was on BCP for a lil over a year, and decided to get off them to TTC with hubby #1. After getting off of them, it took about 2 cycles for my body to adjust to not having any of those extra hormones put into it everyday VIA the pill. Hence, the spotting. So, as for right now, I'd give it a lil time and see how it goes from there. If you continually are spotting or bleeding and it won't stop, then OBVIOUSLY you need to get an appt ASAP. But, for the most part, your body should adjust well in a few cycles :) Just give her a lil time :) HTH

Best Wishes
Nikki
