Very early symptoms - then nothing...

Hi everyone. I'm very new at this (my first post) so excuse me on not knowing all the abbreviations! Here's what is going on. My last period 09/30/03. And, I'm like clockwork - every 28 days. Anyway, per watching my CM and taking a predictor test, I ovulated 10/14 - And, of course, my hubby & I tried and tried! :) Then, 6 days later - 10/20 - nausea set in, strong smells made me heave and my breasts seemed larger and sensitive, back ache and cramps - 3 days of this. Thought I knew I was pregnant - was sure I was. These symptoms lasted ontil 10/22. That night I had stronger cramping - when I woke up on 10/23 I swear my breasts "deflated" - they are sensitive, I think - or that may be just from my poking them constantly -- not sure. I had no nausea or backache or cramps on 10/23 at all. THis morning, however, I'm chatting with my girlfired, who smokes, and I start dry heaving because of the smell. HAS ANYONE HAD VERY EARLY SYMPTOMS AND THEN NOTHING??? My AF isn't due until 10/28 - and, I think I may have a nervous breakdown by then. 3 days ago I knew I was pregnant, and now, it just doesn't feel like I am at all....

It's hard... some people have no symptoms so having some and then not having some is really no indicator whether you are pregnant or not...unfortunately. I have had symptoms come and go as well (ovulated on 10/15), but I keep reminding myself that a LOT of people have no symptoms until they are 2 months. When are you planning on testing?

Just an FYI -

I am on BCP and am not TTC at all - but this has happened to me.

Back in July - AF was 7/17 - on 7/31 I started cramping, nipples were raw, breast were super tender, MS cramps after orgasm, other cramping (but felt more like gas). Symptoms started to fade. Took HPT's - all neg. Started to spot brown (sorry if TMI) on 8/5. 8/14 period came and was 100% normal. Next AF came right on time 9/11. Totally normal. Then this month - started to spot brown 10/3. AF came on 10/8 (one day early) unusually light. Still normal but light. Went to OBGYN. He did internal and said I was fine. Took multiple HPT's - all neg. He switched my pill as he thinks that as I am turning 31, my body is changing and perhaps not reacting to the pills properly.

I made and continue to make myself sick over the fact that I could be pg. But I do think it is normal for symptoms to appear and then disappear...and for you to not be pg.

HOpe I helped at all.

Planning on trying to wait until AF is due 10/28. I have the test at home - was looking at it last night, but knew that either it was too early - or I'm just not ready to see the neg result. The thing that is the craziest is that if you would have asked me on Monday, Tues or Wed I would have said that I was absolutely pregnant - but, not now. Is it possible to have been, and it just did not "take" ?

If possible, I would recommend that you *try* to not worry too much about symptoms. What is REALLY hard is that every pregnancy symptom is the sign of something else (AF coming, stress, etc.) and you need to not read too much into them. To be honest, the more you stress, the more you will have headaches and other symptoms. Your body could be handling the pregnancy very well and had a few symptoms happen, but now is just going about its business without affecting you .

My boobs became really sore, tingly and definitely bigger. The tingling has subsided, but they are still big and sore. I expect not anything like what they will become if I am truly pregnant. Other than that, nothing new...I had a hot flash one morning at 3:30am and have had some mild cramping, but it all comes and goes so I am trying to be patient. It ISN'T easy, though.

If you were pregnant and then now you aren't, you might never know it and just get your AF as usual or a few days late. Everyone is different so it's hard to know.

Good luck waiting... feel free to vent more if needed. That's what is getting me through the wait and sparing my DH! :-)

Thank you for the support! I know I need to relax - unfortunately - the more you know it, the harder it is! But, I really appreciate the kind words. Part of my nuttiness is that I will be 35 next month - and everyone acts like that is the drop dead age - I have a 14 year old from a previous marriage, and I can tell you one thing for sure - having a baby by "accident" is much more fun than TTC and watching your CM and temps - and symptoms. ANyway, than you again - and Good Luck to you in your own pursuits of baby! ;)

Don't obsess!! Ok...I know thats nearly immpossible, but our bodies can do so many things to us that make us completely insane. I know this for sure, they can act however they want and it don't care one bit what we may make of it...LOL Really, just wait for AF to come, or not, and test. If AF is wierd and light and you get a BFN let it be, and believe it. If AF dont show and you test BFN then you have the right to keep testing. Just believe the tests eventually. They tell the true story. If you would like you can read up about my recent experiences with the games my body played with me. I have a short story and a picture about it here: http://www.angelfire.com/ex/forevermore/belly.html I just made this last night. But after what I went through i'm trying to spread the word and hope that some realize that often the tests will tell you the truth and just because something is off doesn't always mean your pregnant. ~Baby Dust~
