Very Nervous :-(

It's been 46 days since the end of my last period, and maybe 57 days since the start of the last one. So, I'm about two weeks late and VERY nervous... My boyfriend and I have been having sex for over a year, and we normally use a condom... but lately he's been into just "putting it in." He never actually climaxes inside of me-- he's good about that, but I'm really nervous. The only things that would lead me to believe that I'm not is that I'm not experiencing any of the symptoms except fatigue. I've read that most women notice their breasts feeling larger and more tender when they first find out they're pregnant, and my breasts normally feel that way before my period. There have been no breast changes whatsoever. I also don't really feel nauseous, and my mood has been about the same. I don't feel any hungrier than normal and don't feel like eating any particular foods more than normal. I think I've been peeing about as much as I normally do... I do feel like I'm putting on weight, but that could be because I normally try to excercise several times a week, and lately I haven't had the chance because of schoolwork.

I've been under a lot of stress lately, applying for jobs everywhere while trying to keep up with my schoolwork (I'm taking 17 credits, 5 of which are Chemistry, which I'm awful at and stress out about frequently), my social life, and my long-distance relationship. The first weekend after I got settled back in at school (which was the weekend my period was due)

Stress could definitely be the answer. We can trick our bodies into thinking we are pregnant. When we finally get our period the stressing stops and our bodies go back to normal. Take the test. At least you will know if you are stressing for a reason or driving yourself crazy. Good luck and let us know.

Well, I took the test on Thursday and it came back negative. I was soooooooo relieved... but I STILL haven't gotten my period... I'm still sick, but I've had a lot of rest and relaxation this weekend... I read that drinking a lot of fluids before taking the test can mess with it, and I drank a bottle of water before taking it. I still have another test, but I think I might wait until Thursday to try again. Also, I haven't been working out(due to sickness and lack of free time) and now from my rib cage to my lower abdomen feels really tight and hard (like I've been doing sit-ups for the past month), and I feel kind of nauseous when I press on it. I tried to work out today since it was the first day in about a week that I've woken up feeling almost as healthy as I normally feel, but I could barely run 2 miles (I normally run at least three) without feeling really nauseous. I don't know what this could mean, but it's really weird to me. If I took a pregnancy test on Thursday, since my period will be three weeks late, that SHOULD be and adequate amount of time to detect HCG in my urine, right? Ugh, I really wish I could just know for sure :-(. I don't want to have to go to the doctors :-(. I'll have to use my mom's insurance, and since she pays for the insurance, she'll find out, right?

Some people never get a BFN when testing and they end up being pregnant. Your mom might find out b/c most insurance companies send you an overview of what they paid the doctor. Maybe you could go to planned parenthood? Good luck!

Well usually the only reason HPT don't work is one operator error, too much pee or too little pee etc. or two you just haven't produced enough HCG (hormone) levels to show up as a positive. I would recheck in about a week or two if still no period. You might want to look in to what kind of insurance your mom has because some insurance co. do not cover dependants care for dependants basically care for grandchildren but some do. I was 16 when I had my first and my mom's insurance covered everything, but I have a friend who is 21 and in school but her mom's insurance would not cover anything prenatal for her :(. So food for thought. Good Luck and I'm sure everything will work out the way it's supposed to.

Thank God for the student health center!! I went today and they gave me a free test and free counseling about the whole thing, so that was really cool. They didn't so much as ask about insurance, so I didn't need to provide any of that information. And the tests came back negative :-)!! They used a urine sample, but since I used one and they are professionals and they got a negative result, too, I think that's pretty conclusive. Even more conclusive is the fact that I think I'm getting my period now!! It's really light (which is not normal, my periods normally start off pretty heavy, but I think since I'm finally getting over my cold and I'm getting into a routine, my body's slowly getting back to normal). Thanks so much to everyone for all of the support, advice and kind words, though!!
