I have always had normal periods and never really paid attention to how long my cycle was. I stopped the pill last month. I am a little confused about the ovulations days and what I Have been reading about cervial mucas.

Based on a 28 day cycle here is what happened this month:
May 24th first day of last period. Stopped pills. Sex early morning of June 8th. I figured that I should have been ovulating during that time? However, that same night of the 8th, I had thick/stretchy cervical mucas. I read that if it's that texture that it holds the sperm and doesnt allow it to pass. Took a PT on June 17th - which was negative. If I am on the 28 day cycle I think I should start my period tomorrow or Thursday. Do I Have it all wrong?

Hi there, I would say that if your 1st day of your LMP was may 24th, then you would have possibly beeing ovulating around the 7th or 8th. If you're on a 28 day cycle that is. And usually stretchy (almost like egg-whites) cervical mucus is a very good indicator that you're at your most fertile time during the month. I would say if you haven't got AF in a day or so, try testing again and if it's still neg, with still no AF, then call your doctor to maybe do a blood test. I'd say you're probably in the realm of being pg.
Hope that helps a little bit and best of luck. Keep us posted on how things are going...

Many women do not ovulate at day 14. Also when coming right off of the pill you may not ovulated at day 14. So women take a while to adjust back to their "normal" cycle coming off of the pill. That being said...I did not. I have come off of the pill twice. Both times I returned to a 26-28 day cycle instantly. Try waiting a few more days to test. GL.--Kristi
