This is what was going on with me yesterday.

My last period was July 13. From July 24-27, I had unprotected sex with full ejaculation inside me. This week, I began having weird symptoms, like tiredness, very painful and sore breasts, and a weird feelig in my stomach, somewhere between nausea and no appetite. Today, I have had the worst lower back pain and cramps, but more back pain than cramps, and I saw that some brownish-looking blood had come out and I am now spotty - very light. And my back is still killing me. I am still having all of the aforementioned symptoms. What could this mean?

Now ...

Last night, my back continued to hurt to the point of tears into the night. When I got up to go to the bathroom, suddenly a good amount of what appeared to be blood came out. But it was much thicker (almost syrupy) and darker than a normal period would be, and it stopped almost as soon as it started. That has now happened intermittently throughout the day - this sudden appearance of thick, syrupy, dark blood (?). My period should have come today, but in reading online I have found out that implantation bleeding can happen when a woman is pregnant at the time her period is expected. But I just took a test, and it was negative. This is NOT normal for me, and my breasts remain sore and swollen, I am tired and my back is still hurting ...

Any thoughts appreciated!

IM usually occurs 7-10 after ovulation, which is sometimes is right before you're scheduled for AF. The think blood, that makes me wonder. Could it have been an early m/c? I've never had one, but have been told it's bloody, but different than AF blood. What hpt did you use? Depending on which one, you may not have had enough hcg in your urine for the test to detect. Are you able to call your doctor and get some advice from him? That can help put your mind at ease.

I hope things are okay and that you are just having a funky period.
