Why always a neg.?

So I took a test today and showed me another neg. My husband and I have been trying for almost a year now. I was expected to get my menses around the 8th. But since my menses varies from a cycle of 28-34 days, could I have tested too early? Does this mean I can't have babies? Should I worry? We really want to start a family and I feel at fault. What should I do?

I'm sorry to hear this... after a year of TTC, it really might be time for you to talk to your doctor. There could be any one of a whole host of problems to blame... that is, easily-corrected problems. You've been at this for a year; don't let another one go by without any consultation with your doctor.

You might also consider temp charting to get an idea if you are ovulating. Some women get AF regularly, but don't ovulate every month. Charting will also help you identify "THE DAY" better and to better time your BD. If you're interested in this at all, I'd recommend the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler, and the website at www.fertilityfriend.com.

Good luck to you!
