Please help! My temps are stil up and AF was due over the weekend but I continue to get neg. hpts. I'm using first response early test and also early answer. About 5 days ago I did got a + that came up immediately but then after 20 min disappeared, and ever since I've gotten neg. I know I have a yeast or vaginal infection for a couple weeks now but I was going to wait until after AF came to treat it. Could having that affect the results of the pg test? I am just shocked that my temps are still up and yet no + hpt. This is soooo frustrating! Any advice, or thoughts please?! TIA<

Please someone tell me what you think! I'm going crazy wondering over here....could a vaginal or a yeast infection affect taking an hpt? I've been getting neg. but I think I might be pg...

I have never heard of a yeast infection giving a false positive. It is quite rare to get a false positive unless you are taking medications containing HCG(Pregnyl,Profasi...) I am not sure why you are not getting any more positive results though. The reason the result probably went away is because the tests usually say read within 10 minutes because after that the result could change. I would get blood work done if you are 8-10 past ovulation. I hope this helps you. Take care and good luck :)

PS- Try the Clearblue Easy DIGITAL pregnancy tests. They are wonderful. It says in words "Pregnant" or "Not Pregnant". You can't mess these up! I got three at Walmart for $14.98.

Actually I was wondering if the yeast/vaginal infection would be what's giving me negatives...since I've had like 4 neg since....thanks.

I don't think so. Actually getting a yeast infection can be a symptom of pregnancy due to the hormone changes in the vagina. I would go buy a Monistat 1, treat your yeast infection, and then test again if that's what you would feel more comfortable doing. Or else you can go to the doctor and get a blood test done. Whatever you do, make sure you treat the yeast infection! Good luck! :)
