Yellow/Clear Liquid From Breast

My period is not due for 3 days, but last night I noticed that if I lightly squeeze my breasts a clear/yellowish liquid comes out. Has anyone had this happen and been pregnant or not pregnant? Everything I read says that if you are pregnant this shouldn't happen until around the 12th week, but if I am pregnant at all it is too early to tell on a pregnancy test. Help??? Is this normal, we have been TTC for 5 months now.

Ive always heard that at the beginning of pregnancy your bbs do not leak. I have also read that if your breasts leak it could be a sign of a breast infection. sometimes birth control pills make them leak also. I have been preggo before and my bbs never leaked any yellow/clear fluid at the beginning. Hope that helps. Although some women who are currently nursing or have just recently stopped get leaking sometimes. If you havent had a baby yet then leaking usually doesnt come until later. Good luck~

In response to your question about breast leakage, that happened to me as well in my early pregnancy. I was shocked because all the books, and people I knew said that doesn't happen until later in pregnancy. I went to the doctor, she said that is not uncommon, and that I had to start wearing breast pads earlier that most. Without being to graphic, as the pregnancy went on, the flow got stronger and stronger, to the point where I would wake up in the middle of the night and have the blanket and sheets soaked and stuck to me. If I stood up suddenly, my feet would get wet. Thankfully, once my baby arrived, I still had plenty of colostrum & milk for her, more than the nurses had seen in a first time mom in a long time. It did eventually even out to be normal. The doctor thought that it was hormones, but didn't see any reason to be alarmed or do anything about it. I had a healthy baby girl, who has always had plenty to eat!!! Good luck.
I don't know if this is helpful or not..but at least you know you're not alone..
