Welcome back to the boards.

I don't know much about the Up & Up OPK's but from what I do know about most OPK's, they usually tell you that you are going to ovulate within 24 hours of the first positive result you see. That being said, once you ovulate, your egg is only fertile for 24 hours. Ideally, you would BD a day or two before you ovulate to give the sperm a chance to get up to where they need to go (since sperm can live for days inside of you). BDing on the day you ovulate can work as well, but BDing more than 24 hours after ovulation is not going to work since your egg would no longer be fertile at that point.

You may have tested too soon. It all just depends on exactly when you ovulated and how long it takes your fertilized egg to implant into your uterus.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "not 35". I'm guessing you are concerned that you might be too old for getting pregnant. I know that it does become a bit harder as we age due to fluctuations in our hormones, but there are numerous women that are getting pregnant later in life. If you are concerned about your age being an issue and you really want to get pregnant, you might want to talk to your GYN to get some lab work done to test your hormones.

I think all tests have their pros and cons. I personally don't see the point in spending a lot of money on a test because I've had accurate results with the cheaper tests as well. As far as the early ones that say they can get an accurate result days before your missed period, it really just depends on their sensitivity and your body.

Personally, I'd wait until AF did a no show before testing again, but I know that's hard to do when you really want to be pregnant. With my youngest DS, I tested 10dpo because I was having a lot of pregnancy symptoms that I didn't usually get for PMS, so I was pretty convinced I was pregnant (which I was).

Thanks for replying. Yes, I meant I am 35.
