hey everyone. If I had a thirty day cycle, and that is an if because i have been so out of whack since I went off of depo and on to bc last september, then AF should have knocked on my door on July 8th. I took two tests one of the 6th, and one on the 8th. Both negative. This time I picked up the Answer brand which is supposed to test at 20mIU. Well, I tested with FMU, and there is a faint line, but it is in a different place than what the drawing on the box show. There are no actual pictures of an actual test. The line was faint, but I had DH look at it out on the porch in the sun, and it is defintely there, but, farther from the control line than the pictures show. What do I do?

This is strange, because the sililar thing happened to me. My LMP was 6/11. I took a ClearBlue early result with a faint pos yesterday, but probably an evap line, so I tested again today with a dollar store hpt and I have two lines but.. the test results are displayed as two parallel lines yes and one line not - but mine has two perpendicular lines!! Does this mean anything? Has anyone had similar results?

This happended to me too!! I was on a super strict budget and bought a Walgreens brand test and took it home and tried it out. I did everything right and a line appeared but way on the end of the little window. I didn't know what to think... I went to the doctor a week later and it was positive!!!! So never doubt the line.. :) no matter where it is.. lol

I'm still confused...my lines look like a (+) but it should be (II) I called the 800 number to ask them, and he said that any line other than the control line is a yes. I've also read here on the boards that a line is a line...but the position of the line has me confused..I'm stuck in the office and can't get out for another and can't really afford one. (The one I took was from the dollar store) Has anyone had this experience before? I know a line is a line, no matter the color, but position also??? Sorry to keep at it, but just would like to hear if anyone has seen this?

Well, I have used those dollar store tests before...I have always gotten a negative result until this month! I have taken about 5 (I know, obssessive) and they have all been faint positives--but when I took an FRE it was negative. Maybe it's just the cheap test...although I have a friend who just used the dollar tests and she is now due any day!!!

My guess is that it is positive---a line is a line--no matter what position!!!

Good Luck!

Thank you for your responce...I'm so nervous! My son will be 5 this month and I have two stepsons, who are 11 & 12. I know my DH doesn't want anymore children at this time, although we have agreed that we'll try - in the future! DH doesn't even know that I have been testing.

God works in his way and HIS timing...not mine!

Thank you for your input it is much appreciated!

May God Bless you and yours....

Hi I am a lurker here and saw you post. I used Answer for both my pregnancies and wanted to tell you sounds like you are pregnant. I still have my son's pregnancy test stashed away.

Did you watch the test? I had a bad habit of watching the urine go through the window and see the first line then nothing then a 2nd line. For my daughter when I watched the test saw the first faint line and then nothing I was sure I wasn't pregnant, thought the lines would be side by side like on the box. I put the test down, finished up and decided to look at it again. Sure enough there was 2 lines. I have learned the 2nd line to the very right ( word answer toward you left, holding it in your right hand) of the test is the control so if you have a line in front of that it's a positive test. I have to say they don't appear like the picture on the box. They are not that close there is a pretty good space between the 2 lines.

I learned when I had my son that if I saw the faintest first line I was pregnant. I tried not to watch the test and wait the 2 min. but I couldn't.

Sounds like CONGRATS are in order !!!
