I am about 12 days late, I have taken 3 or 4 home pregnancy tests and they were all negative. I am usually very, VERY regular. I did have sex during my fertile period. Could it still be too early to get a positive result? I have a friend that took 3 tests that all came out neg. and didnt get a pos. until she got a blood test done.

Well, I don't have a regular doctor. I haven't live in this town long. And the only doctor I really know of isn't a very good one. I am also very weird about doctors and professionals...I always have to have a female one. Male doctors make me very nervous and I really don't want a strange man seeing what only my husband should see...LOL...I told you I was weird. I go to the planned parenthood to get my birthcontrol, and I would go there for a test, but they do urine tests. I guess I could call the hospital and see about a blood test there.

I don't blame you at all for not waiting to see a male doctor.

Ok, so today I went out and bought another HPT. I went and spent a whopping four bucks on an Equate test (walmart brand). I read alot of posts where women said the cheap dollar store brands were just as good, so I thought I would give it a try instead of shelling out another $15 for First Response...which I have heard both good and bad things about. Anyway, back to what I was saying...

So I opted for peeing in a cup because I am horrible at doing it on a stick, and the equate brand says that you should hold it in the stream for at least 10 seconds. It says you can also use a clean dry cup and dip the entire tip into the urine for at least 10 seconds.

So I dipped the stick, counted to 15 and capped it. I layed it down on the counter and saw a pink tint moving through the windows. On the equate test, there are two windows, the contol window and the result window. So I left it in the bathroom and walked into the living room...

I go back in the bathroom a couple of minutes later and the contol window has the line that is supposed to be there. But in the result window there is a very, very, VERY faint line. If you are pregnant, there is supposed to be two line, that would look like a plus sign. My line looks like a minus sign, the negative result, but it is so light that I can barely see it. So I thought, ok, maybe I didn't wait long enough. I waited a few minutes longer, still the same result.

So what does that mean? Do I need to retest?

I am two weeks late now. I am NEVER late. I have had some nausea, cramps, some back pain, I have to pee ALL the time, and for a while I had to do number 2 alot (TMI, I know...lol). And since last night I have had this very strange feeling in my stomach. I can't exactly desribe it. I just know I didn't want my stomach touched at all. I still have this feeling now. I have no idea if this has to do with being pregnant, I have never been pregnant...so I am totally clueless of the real signs. All I know is what I have heard.

My husband thinks it may be stress causing me to not have a period because of some things that have gone on in the last month or so, but I don't FEEL stressed. I am so frustrated at this point! UUUGGGGGHHHHHHH!

i'm 2 months late right now and i've never missed a period before in my life and i'm 20 years old. i went off of the bc pill about 6 months back though so thats probably why i'm skipping mine. those equate ones from walmart are the ones that i use too when i test. i'm guessing that if you only saw a light line and it was only 1 line, then it is probably negative. but if you still think you might, just wait a couple of days and go out and buy another one and try to test again with the first morning urine.

Well, this past Saturday night, I got horrible, painful cramps. Worse then I had ever had. I was bent over in pain, I couldn't stand up cause it hurt too bad. I went to the bathroom and there was a little bit of blood. I thought ok, I am getting my period... The cramps continued throughout the night and the next day. When I went to the bathroom Sunday afternoon, there was really really dark blood, I mean it was almost black. **this next part is gross, so you can stop reading if you want...lol**And another time I went to the bathroom, I changed my tampon. When I took the tampon out I looked at it and stuck to was this little round glob that was a creamy-white color and it had a little pink spot in it. I started freaking out!!! I was home alone and had no one to tell/ask about it. I had no proof that I was pregnant, but it was a HUGE possibility. So now I am wondering if I was pregnant and did I just have a miscarriage. A couple of my friends think that is what happened. I have no idea!!!! I wish I knew.

I'm sending you prayers and positive thoughts. Maybe you should go to the ER...I've never been pg, but I can't imagine if you are that the dark blood is healthy. I hope things work out.

((((hugs))))

When I was prego a couple of years ago....
I missed my period for the first time in my life and took a prego test a week later and it came up negative. I thought something was wrong with me so I made a drs appt. It ends up I was pregnant even though the test didn't work. During that time between conceiving and knowing I was pregnant I did have a moment with severe cramping pain that made me fall to the ground it was so sharp. I think that was the day when it implanted. It was just a weird hormonal day. Good luck! Just because the test is negative it doesn't mean you are not prego!
