Are there names you like that are outside of your usual style/rules?

I like single-syllable names, but every once in a while something like Priscilla or Clementine catches my eye.

I love surnames on boys, but not on girls. However, I am really attracted to Callaway for a girl. I'm not sure I would really use it, but I'd of had it on our list if DH didn't instantly shoot it down. I personally loate boy names on girls, but I also like Wynn for a girl, but not for a boy, even though it is traditionally a male name.

I don't usually like "trendy" names but, for some unexplainable reason, I really like Everly for a girl.

And I usually prefer names that are not super traditional or popular but my favourite boy's name is Alexander.

Yep! My girl list is full of big feminine names like Charlotte, Leonora, Evangeline, Penelope and Veronica. But there's one name on there that I adore and it isn't even traditionally a girl's name. Avery.
