Mallory has been on my list for years and when I look at Madeline I do think she could have been Mallory but Madeline suits her to a tee. Tana (tan-uh) is another one that's been on my list, even longer than Mallory. As for boy's names there really isn't any I've had on my list for some time.

Gwendolyn has been on my list since I was 12 or 13. It would have been Desmond's name if he had been a girl. It was in our top 5 for Eloise, though it didn't make the top spot obviously. It was back on the table for newbie, though if somehow newbie ends up being a girl rather then a girl, we probably won't end up using it, we might. It is one of my favorite names, it just never works out quite right.

Desmond was actually on my list since about the same age as Gwendolyn, but since we've used it, I would have to say that Alistair has been on my list longest for boys. It was on our top five for Desmond, we seriously debated it for Eloise, and it is on our list still for newbie, though I don't think it will be used. I really love the name, but sort of like Gwendolyn it has never quite made the final cut.

Thank you for the sig Mary

For a boy, Alexander. It was my grandfather's name (he died long before I was born) and I've always thought it was very handsome.

For a girl, Amelia/Emilia. It was my grandmother's name and, every since I was a little girl, I've thought it was beautiful. Actually, I don't have a MN and sometimes wished that my mom had named me after my grandma and given me Amelia as a MN.
