Anyone know the correct pronunciation? I was thinking 'drus-tin' but read somewhere (not so reliable) that it was 'droo-stin'. TIA!

I don't know what's correct. I've never seen this name before. If I saw it written and had to read it aloud, I'd probably guess: DROO-stin. Not sure why.

I agree with PP, I want to say Dru-stin. Or, Dru-stan... to me it sounds like a combo of Drew and Stan. I don't find it appealing, it seems made up. Or would be confused with Dustin.

Dh likes it as well. It's on our list but as 'drus-tin' not 'droo'. I'd never heard or seen it before either until I was looking around on behindthename.

DRUSTAN

Gender: Masculine

Usage: Ancient Celtic
Older form of TRISTAN. This name was borne by a 7th-century Scottish saint.

For what it's worth, I thought Drus-tan when I saw it...I guess I kinda thought of it similarly to Justin...but I don't know what is "correct".

Ditto...I simply can't make this one appealing, no matter how I spin it. As druss-tin, I come up with "Dristan," "Justin-with-a-dr," and "trussed-in." As droo-stan, I get the "droogs" from "Clockwork Orange" and "drool." I'd say there's a reason this one got modernized to Tristan.
