For those who can't keep up with my naming situation because you have lives of your own, here are the Cliff's Notes (interesting aside: the guy who invented Cliff's Notes (Cliff) used to live in the house two doors down from our house):

I am due in a few weeks, we don't know if we are having a girl or boy, DH told me about two weeks ago that he didn't like anything on our list.

I wanted to include nns we are thinking of too:

Calvin: would go by Cal pretty exclusively

August: Gus around the home, would use August mainly, I think

Everett:

With Hayes & Graham my top 3

August- love this name just met my 1st IRL & he is 14 & DARLING! I think dark hair & light eyes

Theodore-I think fair hair & light eyes

Calvin- this says redhead to me for some reason

my kindergartener has a Wilkes in her class that would work too(cuz you know you need another suggestion-LOL)

Charles is a name I like but seems pedestrian next to Hayes & Graham. Everett in nice but seems more trendy to me that your boys.

GIRLS I love Eloise I see a blonde with blue eyes.

If I had to choose 3 from your boy's list I'd choose August, Theodore, and Everett - in that order. I really like Eloise and it was one I tried to push for at the end but dh didn't like it. Our Madeline is definitely a Madeline and I look at her thinking of the other names we had considered and I know we made the right choice - she's no other name to me.

I'm going to look at this with fresh eyes! Interesting about your old neighbor Cliff, btw. - Maybe you should consider that!

The problem I see with John, Mark, David & William (I dated a guy once who was part of a sibset of the first three names) is that there really are SO many of those that you always have to ask which one. DH and I just had that convo tonight when he was like, "Oh, I forgot to tell you about my conversation with John!" and I was like, "John the finance guy or John from college?" and he was like, "no, John from corporate". Bah. And you'd think it would be so out it's in, but that's already happened too because I know several urban toddlers named Johnny. Throw Michael in that mix as well.

Calvin nn Cal - I like it, it fits well with your other kids and I don't know any.

August - Like it! It felt more avant garde to me about a year or two ago, but I do actually know two kids with that name (girl from high school's little boy and my neighbor's co-worker). This might be the Stella of boys' names, haha. GREAT name if you're the only one. I'm not a Gus person, but that's up to you.

Everett - Def fits with your other kids and I like the strong-man conotation with Mt. Everest.

My Eloise has dark blonde hair that gets beautiful lighter streaks in it in the summer, dark brown eyes & beautiful olive skin that tans without trying!
