Middle name - another idea!

Hello, me again! I thought we had put $tella M@ren on lock down, but I'm having my doubts now. Mn is a combo of our moms' names, Maria and Karen. It got me out of having to use MIL's name and threw my mom in the mix. Cool. Except now

Oh I like Stella Nikolette!!!! And I LOVE she'sd be named after her daddy.
Andi
Either will be a good choice. I know that your DH was insistent on naming after his mom though.
I absolutely LOVE the name Maren!
Yes he was really insistent at first, but later admitted he "hates" the name Maria. So if he hates it and I don't like it, why were we using it? Then I learned his cousin's middle name is Maria *after* his mom! How many people does this lady want named after her?!? That's when he suggested Maren, which I like.
Nikolette was his idea with our first daughter, so he's good with it. I think his thoughts are more as long as it honors his side this time, he's happy (Sofie is my grandmother's mn).
Good memory!

Not harping on your DH but in general I just don't get this sentiment.

He argues that since they are girls, they will marry out of his last name. However before we knew the gender of this baby, he also insisted a son have his first name in there somewhere too. Haha, maybe it's like when a dog pees on his bushes.

LMAO & I bet you are right!

Jenna I like them both for different reasons.
Short indeed! I was thinking of what I was doing 11 weeks *ago* and realized it's not that much time at all. Ahh!!
Back to names. If I try Maren on as a first name, I don't like it as well. It's not very feminine. However, if I try Nikolette on for size as the main name, I like it even more!
I'd probably be sold on Nicolette if we could spell it with a "c". K's kind of bug me to begin with (no offense anyone! Just a personal thing!) and our last name already begins w/K.
Wow, I see Nicolette written and it feels warmer and warmer to me. Stella Nicolette. Nicolette Maren. Maren Nicolette (no).
