Hi Ladies!

I've had Milah Ruby chosen for about 2 years. Now that my daughter is here and named (and soooo adorable!), I can't stop obsessing about if we made the right decision. I don't even have another name that I'm thinking about, so I have a feeling that this obsession is purely hormonal, but it's driving me crazy!

Any thoughts? encouragement? has anyone been through this?

Oh, SWOON! Are you kidding? That is beautiful! I've never heard Milah, but it's gorgeous. Great job - don't regret that for a second.

It isn't uncommon so try not to worry about it too much.

It's a gorgeous name.

Oh my gosh....I think I'm the Queen of baby name second guessing as many old timers on this board know. I've even changed one daughter's name (technically just added a name) and came close to doing it for a son.

When the name is on a kid - it is real and any doubts you ever had about it seem to rush to front as you worry about every little thing...including if they are eating right, peeing right, acting is just a mother being a mother. We are also looking for approval from everyone that we are doing a good job and if you've gone a bit unique (as you have) guess what????.....not everyone is going to love it at the level you love it. THAT'S OK. In fact, it was what you were going for....if you went with a name everyone would be super popular. What I have that names grow on people around you and they will later tell you how much they have come to love your selection (even if it wasn't one they would have selected). Long story short...don't seek their it because you love it (and it is beautiful) - you'll be surprised by approval you'll get along the way (and probably some copycats).

People will tell you that eventually the name just fits the kid and you someday you won't be able to think

That's such a beautiful name! One of my favorites!

Dh and I considered it for youngest dd, but it didn't seem to fit her. We settled on Olivia, which we love and suited her better.

Congrats and great name choice!!
